Join our dedicated team in the General Surgery/Trauma unit where you will contribute to a compassionate and caring environment for patients and their families. Your role will be essential in delivering high-quality nursing care while supporting the mission of our healthcare organization.

Work Shift: Day

Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20

  • Implement physician orders and administer medications, IVs, treatments, and procedures, documenting everything as per company policy and local/state/federal guidelines.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and address patients' conditions effectively.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs, ensuring appropriate responses to the care provided.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in all patient care management decisions, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide both primary and emergency care for various occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, including both over-the-counter and prescription options.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for each patient.
  • Guide and support ancillary personnel, maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Unit Description:

B3 is a large inpatient post-surgical unit featuring 36 private rooms. We care for patients originating from the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Step-down Unit, Emergency Department, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, with a diverse patient population that includes Trauma, Orthopedics, ENT, Thoracic, Plastics, and Bariatric surgery patients.
