Join Leidos as an Integration and Testing Technical Manager & Test Architect, where you will play a critical role in leading a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing aircraft runway and terminal congestion management. As air traffic congestion increases nationwide, your expertise will contribute to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program, which is pivotal for NextGen Air Traffic Control capabilities aimed at optimizing air traffic operations in the National Airspace System (NAS).

The TFDM program focuses on improving the efficiency of airport surface management through features like Surface Collaborative Decision Making (SCDM), departure scheduling, and integration of various systems to streamline flight operations. This project emphasizes the importance of real-time data sharing among controllers, aircraft operators, and airports to enhance the management of arrivals and departures.

Location: Gaithersburg, MD; Atlantic City, NJ; Eagan, MN

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to design, develop, and execute I&T procedures and regression tests.
  • Drive productivity improvements across the project.
  • Track and report Test Engineering status, providing detailed test reports and artifact packages to stakeholders and clients.
  • Manage schedules, risks, opportunities, defects, change requests, and action items effectively.
  • Facilitate planning meetings, peer reviews, and customer-facing sessions to ensure alignment with I&T objectives.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with developers, system engineers, and schedulers to ensure requirements are testable and aligned with project timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant professional experience, or 10+ years with a related Master's degree.
  • Proven experience in following a documented Test Process.
  • Familiarity with UNIX and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong integration capabilities and excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external customers.
  • Experience as a Test Architect.
  • Ability to obtain SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA.
  • Experience in leading diverse test teams and managing team activities.
  • Experience in workload management, staffing, and personnel supervision.
  • Proven ability to guide a team to meet critical milestones.

  • Strong leadership skills, capable of working independently and effectively in areas such as:
    • Integrating new system functionalities.
    • Determining and resolving problems.
  • Solid understanding of system and software engineering practices to assist with system integration, requirements engineering, and decision analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in Air Traffic programs are highly advantageous.

Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00

The Leidos pay range for this position serves as a general guideline and is subject to factors including but not limited to job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
