  • Providing Technical support and overseeing the Technical infrastructure, being the budget holder for the IT Team to ensure the organisation have the relevant hardware and software to succeed.
  • Supporting with additional technical projects including cloud management/migration, application management (O365/Azure/Sharepoint/Teams etc.), Infrastructure management and service Delivery.

My Client is a Further Education organisation that provides certified and nationally recognised training and qualifications in a wide variety of subjects.


  • Cloud Management and security - Reducing reliance on prem solutions, ensuring cloud based tech suite has a high quality of cyber security standards which are tested and audited regularly and meet governmental requirements and guidelines.
  • Application Management - Leveraging O365 apps to their full potential and supporting with staff adoption and optimisation projects when the need arises.
  • Infrastructure Management - Leading on business continuity and disaster recovery activities, as well as updating and maintaining accurate standards and procedures.
  • IT Service Delivery - Maintaining defined KPI's/OKR's and SLAs when responding to hardware/software support issues and project managing IT Service delivery when the need occurs.
  • Budget Holder and P&L Ownership - includes overseeing monthly IT Budget.
  • Leadership - Lead the recruitment process of the Technology team and line managing/coaching Technology Team members.
  • Vendor Management - ensuring transparency, credibility and value for money when dealing with 3rd party vendors, whilst reviewing and designing the future in-house/outsourced IT operating model.


The Successful candidate will be a 3rd line support/IT Manager with experience of:

  • Cloud/infrastructure/application management.
  • Vendor, budget and People management (at least 1 direct report previously).
  • Cloud migration and cyber security.
  • Supporting the implementation of products and platforms through the agile project life-cycle.
  • Being a positive, articulate and outgoing individual as you will be doing elements of stakeholder management.
