We offer an enriching internship experience designed to help you develop your skills while supporting our IT Service Desk Team. Although this is an unpaid internship intended for educational training, you will gain invaluable experience in a collaborative team environment, alongside professionals who are dedicated to a meaningful mission.

As an IT Service Desk Intern, you will play a vital role in assisting our teammates with IT-related inquiries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the IT Service Desk team with a variety of incoming support calls and requests.
  • Prioritizing IT support calls and coordinating them with relevant IT Support Technicians.
  • Promoting best practices for IT hardware and software usage.
  • Providing guidance and educating end-users on software and hardware.
  • Ensuring the security and maintenance of WWP hardware.
  • Assisting with tracking IT assets according to established procedures.
  • Helping input new users into the Service Desk system and maintain accurate records.
  • Supporting IT installations, configurations, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as per Microsoft standards for all computers.
  • Carrying out additional related duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A basic understanding of PCs, peripherals, Windows, Mac OS, and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
  • The ability to learn and apply basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • A positive, collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong desire to contribute to team objectives and support veterans.
  • A self-motivated approach with a high energy level.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college.
  • Preference for candidates pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Understanding of various computer hardware, software, and networking is advantageous.
