The Junior Technical Support Specialist provides essential on-site technical assistance in a federal IT environment, ensuring operational efficiency and user satisfaction across multiple client locations. This role is crucial in maintaining the functionality, security, and accessibility of end-user devices and collaboration tools that support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on-site technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other endpoint technologies.

  • Conduct regular wellness checks on devices to ensure compliance with configurations, patching, and overall performance.

  • Troubleshoot various hardware, software, printing, and basic network connectivity issues following established protocols and ticketing systems.

  • Verify, test, and support conference room technology to enhance operational readiness and reduce disruptions for users.

  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user equipment in accordance with organizational standards and procedures.

  • Accurately document incidents, service actions, and resolutions within the IT service management system.

  • Collaborate with centralized support and infrastructure teams to escalate unresolved issues with comprehensive technical details.

  • Assist with IT asset management and disposal in alignment with security and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 0-3 years of experience in field support or related IT support roles.

  • Knowledgeable in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, alongside the setup and maintenance of IT equipment.

  • Experience with remote support tools and structured service delivery systems.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple technical tasks while providing professional service to users.

  • Active SECRET clearance or the ability to meet security requirements.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Willing to travel locally to support field operations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ certification is a plus.

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or similar certification preferred.

  • Previous experience with conference room technology in decentralized environments.

  • Familiarity with IT service management practices and secure equipment handling.

Compensation Range: $47,700 - $54,600. Compensation may vary based on location, skill set, education, certifications, contract requirements, and experience.
