Join us as a Leader of Occupational Therapy Services, where you will play a vital role in assisting the Director of Therapy Operations with the daily management of our therapy team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with strong supervisory and communication skills, enabling collaboration across departments to meet the needs of patients and staff effectively.

As the Leader of Occupational Therapy Services, you will:

  • Oversee and guide therapist assistants and technicians, ensuring quality patient care.
  • Assist with vital functions such as staffing, scheduling, training, and orientation to provide seamless patient treatment coverage.
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with all hospital departments to ensure everyone's needs are met.
  • Deliver patient care within your licensed discipline, dedicating 80% to 90% of your work hours to direct patient treatment.

You will foster an environment and culture that upholds our mission by:

  • Communicating the hospital’s mission to team members and holding them accountable for their performance.
  • Motivating staff to enhance their skills and improve overall performance through mentoring and professional development opportunities.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement and conducting assessments for departmental operation.

Qualifications:

License or Certification:

  • Current State license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
  • BLS (CPR) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • If an SLP, completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with at least two years in a clinical capacity.
  • Preferred: Active status on the Therapy Clinical Ladder or a specialty professional certification.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong active listening abilities.
  • Critical thinking, time management, and social perceptiveness.
  • Capacity to work independently while managing tasks and meeting deadlines efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or move objects weighing at least 30 pounds.
  • Visual acuity and communication skills for effective patient interaction and treatment.

You will typically work in a temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment, with occasional outdoor exposure. Please be prepared for possible exposure to blood and body fluids.
