Hospice care is designed to give supportive care to people in the final phase of a terminal illness and focus on comfort and quality of life, rather than cure. The goal is to enable patients to be comfortable and free of pain, so that they live each day as fully as possible.

We are looking for nurses to work 12 hour shifts for hospice patients in Duval County and vicinity. $360.00/shift

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:

1. Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the program is located.

2. Must have reliable transportation

3. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team who work together to meet the physical, medical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of hospice patients and families facing terminal illness and bereavement. The Licensed Practical Nurse is designated to provide coordination of care, ensure continuous assessment of each patients and families needs and implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care. Hospice Nursing experience preferred.
