Manager of Automotive Part Inventory Management

A Day in the Life:

As the Manager of Automotive Part Inventory Management, you will take charge of managing our recycled automotive parts inventory. Your efforts will focus on boosting sales through meticulous inventory management, competitive pricing strategies, and efficient part sales or consumption through internal and retail channels. This position reports to the Senior Director of Part Out Materials and is based in Atlanta, GA.

The starting salary is $85K/yr; actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee inventory accuracy across multiple dismantlers and warehouses using advanced inventory tracking systems.

• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and implement effective loss prevention strategies.

• Collaborate with the Senior Director on master data standards, including SKU taxonomy and catalog rules, and execute necessary remediation plans following data quality checks.

• Monitor part harvesting, grading, and interchangeability to optimize sales potential. Work with dismantlers and logistics teams for timely processing and storage of parts.

• Analyze consumption and sales trends, pricing data, and demand forecasts to set competitive market pricing.

• Ensure all sales and consumption channels have accurate and visible listings through effective collaboration.

• Generate metrics and reporting on inventory valuation, external sales, internal consumption, and financial performance.

• Present analytical findings clearly and compellingly, collaborating with Finance, Technical Operations, Procurement, and other key stakeholders.

• Provide estimates, set goals, develop reporting systems, and execute project plans effectively.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business analytics, automotive technology, or related field.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in inventory control, retail analytics, or automotive parts operations.

• Strong technology skills; proficient with inventory systems, data visualization platforms, and ERP systems, with Oracle experience preferred.

• Knowledge of recycled parts grading, interchange standards, and resale e-commerce platforms. Experience in automotive dismantling or salvage yard operations is a plus.

• Strong financial acumen and familiarity with automotive part pricing, asset management, and financial analysis techniques.

• Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders across various functions.
