We are currently seeking a Tax Manager in our Insurance Tax practice, specializing in captive insurance engagements. You will work alongside skilled professionals on exciting captive insurance feasibility, optimization projects, and tax consulting engagements.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage multiple tasks in a high-performance environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation and delivery of captive insurance feasibility studies and utilization projects.
- Writing captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions.
- Managing client relationships, including building effective partnerships and analyzing engagement results to enhance service delivery.
- Overseeing engagement staffing and economics to ensure exceptional client service to our insurance clients.
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- CPA or licensed Attorney.
- Experience or knowledge of captive insurance companies.
- 5-10 years in accounting or taxation for insurance companies.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Understanding of GAAP/statutory accounting principles.
- Basic knowledge of ASC 740/SSAP 101.
- Experience preparing tax returns.
- Familiarity with state and local taxation (e.g., compliance and apportionment fundamentals).
- Self-motivation and critical thinking skills.
- A drive to develop a professional network.
- The ability to lead a team of professionals and identify new business opportunities.
