Volleyball Queensland (VQ) is on a mission to get more people playing, loving and participating in volleyball, for life! VQ is looking for an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to lead our brand, marketing and communications strategy and help grow the game across Queensland.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape how volleyball connects with people and communities, from grassroots participation and schools programs through to major competitions, events and commercial partnerships.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Marketing Manager leads Volleyball Queensland's marketing, brand and communications portfolio. You'll work closely with teams across Events, Participation & Pathways and Member Engagement to ensure our messaging, campaigns and content drive real impact.

In this role, you will:

• Lead VQ's brand strategy, campaigns and go-to-market activity

• Drive awareness, attendance, ticketing and community engagement

• Develop creative activations that build excitement around volleyball

• Oversee digital platforms, website and content strategy

• Support sponsorship servicing and commercial growth

• Lead and mentor the Communications & Content Officer

• Work across events, competitions, pathways and programs to tell great stories

• Have a direct and positive impact on the growth of volleyball in Queensland, along with the community that surrounds the sport

This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with execution in a fast-paced, member and community-focused environment.

About you

You're a confident, collaborative marketing leader who thrives in sport, events or purpose-driven organisations. You know how to bring a brand to life and enjoy working closely with people across the business.

You'll bring:

• 5-10+ years' experience in marketing, communications or brand roles

• Strong campaign, digital and brand management experience

• A creative mindset with strong commercial awareness

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience leading people, projects and priorities

• A genuine interest in sport, community and participation
