Your opportunity

We are offering a 12 month fixed term appointment located at Geebung. As a Mechanical Fitter based in the Plant Workshop you will carry out a scheduled maintenance program, including quarterly inspections and servicing of vehicle?based plant primarily from the South East region. You will also contribute to a major inspection program for Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and other plant across the entire EQL geographic area. In addition, the role requires responding to unscheduled maintenance needs, breakdowns, and after?hours callouts.

Here's how you'll do it:

  • Provide specialist Mechanical Fitter services in completing planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, minor and major inspections.
  • Provide Senior Mechanic with job analysis, fault finding outcomes, recommendations and time estimates for each job e.g. Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP), Vehicle Loading Cranes (VLC), lifter
  • borers, crane trucks and hydraulic equipment
  • Diagnose faults

What you'll bring
  • Trade Certificate in Mechanically related discipline, e.g. mechanical fitter.
  • HR class driver's licence.
  • High Risk licence for slewing mobile crane (C2) or the ability to acquire the licence.
  • High Risk licence for Mobile Elevated Work Platform (WP) or the ability to acquire the licence
  • Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency.

We'd also love you to have
  • Industry experience, familiarity with Supply Industry High Risk Plant and associated systems
  • TAFE Certification in basic hydraulics/fluid power or equivalent.
