Medical Assistant (Back-Office)

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized back office medical assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the smooth operation of our medical practice.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
Assisting with billing and coding tasks
Managing inventory and ordering supplies
Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
Assisting with medical procedures as needed
Providing patient education and answering patient questions
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
Strong communication and organizational skills
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
