Medical Assistant

SUMMARY: We are looking for a full time Certified Medical Assistant to join our outpatient mental health team, providing whole health care and quality services to individuals with behavioral health and addictions challenges.

JOB DUTIES:

• Work closely with front office staff and treatment team to promote smooth clinic operations.

• Build relationships with clients and provide an excellent clinic experience.

• Facilitate communication between providers on the internal and external care team.

• Take messages for providers and return calls as directed by supervisor.

• Room clients, take vitals, track BMI. • Update allergies, medication lists, and external providers in the electronic health record

• Gather all necessary records and documents are prior to intake appointments and post-hospitalization follow-ups.

• Manage refill requests per clinic protocol.

• Assist with referrals and medical records requests generated by psychiatric providers.

• Performs basic computer skills in using electronic health record proficiently while conducting daily documentation and communications involved in patient care

• Assist clients with telehealth services including problem solving.

• Administer injections.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES: Candidates who are flexible, fun, and work well in a fast-paced team environment. Ideal applicant has a passion for serving Columbia County Residents. Education: High School Diploma/equivalent. Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program. Prefer one-year experience. We will support medical assistants to become certified within 6 months of hire.
