Vascular Centers of America is seeking a Medical Billing specialist, detail oriented, and able to take initiative. The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Capable of performing all aspects of medical billing, including but not limited to charge entry, posting insurance payments, rejections, follow up.
Monitor aging to ensure timely follow-up of claims resolution, reduction of future denials, ensuring accurate payment and escalation of issues to management as identified.
Must have specific knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology.
Conduct insurance re-verification as needed through various tools and initiate billings to a new payer or reprocess the claim accordingly, or bill patient.
Research payer guidelines and write and submit appeals as appropriate.
Manage Collections

Required Skills and Experience:

Billing
Claims appeal and resolution experience.
Payment posting and accounts receivable knowledge.
Familiarity with medical terminology
EMR experience

The Billing specialist will be responsible for increasing business profitability by effectively managing timely medical billing/charge entry, analyzing denials, rejections, and seeking the best approach to overturn, and reducing days in accounts receivable.
