Medical Lab Technician - HPX - FT - Nights

Responsibilities:
Performs clinical laboratory tests.
Assures instrumentation is operating according to industry standards.
Continually strives to improve processes to achieve accurate test results in a cost effective and efficient manner.
Occasionally supervises activities of phlebotomists and clerks on specific tasks.
Occasionally functions as acting supervisor.
Reports to a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
Receives general supervision from Pathologists, Director, Lead Technologist and Medical Technologists.
Receives supervision in computer activities from the Analyst, Health Information Technology.
Qualifications:

Education

Associate degree and Medical Lab Tech (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

Experience

2 years preferred

Licensure/Certification

Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Lab Tech or equivalent

Compensation/Benefits

$19.56-$43.71/hr depending on previous work experience.
Position eligible for $3.00/hr night and $3.00/hr weekend shift differentials
