Mid-Level Maintenance Technician

Join our team as a Mid-Level Maintenance Technician and play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our operations! In this position, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our distribution center facilities and systems. We are looking for someone skilled, enthusiastic, and ready for a challenge!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Repair various distribution center equipment, including forklifts, power jacks, and corporate vehicles. Keep a detailed history log for each piece of equipment.
2. Handle electrical tasks such as data and voice cabling, and perform plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication duties as required.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with distribution center conveyor systems, ensuring they run smoothly.
4. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on conveyor systems to maintain optimal performance.
5. Maintain the general appearance and functionality of the distribution center and office buildings, including tasks such as snow removal, groundskeeping, and trash collection.
6. Assist with office relocations, including disassembling and setting up cubicles and office furniture.
7. Perform preventive battery maintenance and keep detailed records for audits.
8. Conduct regular maintenance on HVAC units, including monthly filter changes.
9. Provide after-hours emergency assistance when needed, especially during inclement weather.
10. Uphold safety standards while performing maintenance tasks and identify unsafe practices.
11. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong skills in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication.

Desired:

• Experience in electrical, welding, or machine maintenance.
• Technical or vocational education.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, is highly desirable.
