Missouri hospital seeks General Surgeon to focus on Wound Care and Vein Surgery

Smaller hospital just outside of Springfield, MO is recruiting for an additional General Surgeon to replace a departing physician. Opportunity exists for someone looking for Bread and Butter General Surgery or someone who would like to focus on Wound Care or Vein Surgery. This is a 4.5 day work week with 10 days of call per month. You will join two other established General Surgeons.

$480,000 base salary. $50,000 sign on bonus. Teaching available - student / resident rotation. Opportunity exists for someone to focus on Wound and Vein work - bread and butter Surgery also available. Existing surgeons are seasoned mid-career physicians and have spent their entire careers at the hospital, more than 15 years each.Great partners and genuinely great people. This is a new position, splitting a previous position that was combined General Surgery/Wound/Vein This position is great for the mid career physician who loves Wound, wants to maintain General Surgery skills but focus their practice around wound & vein work, taking over and continuing to grow an already developed Wound/Vein practice. 22 days PTO plus 6 holidays.
