Schedule Details: Nights, with 8 and 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview: Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit caring for a diverse and complex patient population, including:

  • Post-operative craniotomies, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries
  • Patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program
  • High volume of cervical and spinal surgery cases

  • Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure therapeutic care
  • Apply clinical judgment to support optimal patient outcomes

Major Responsibilities:

  • Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care
  • Recognize significant patient condition changes and respond appropriately

  • Coordinate discharge plans with interdisciplinary teams

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA

Education Required:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Holistic approach to patient care with strong communication skills
  • Ability to make critical decisions in unplanned situations
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
  • Strong organization and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver patients and equipment
  • Must endure exposure to chemical and hazardous waste
