Schedule Details: Nights, with 8 and 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Unit Overview: Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit caring for a diverse and complex patient population, including:
- Post-operative craniotomies, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries
- Patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program
- High volume of cervical and spinal surgery cases

- Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure therapeutic care
- Apply clinical judgment to support optimal patient outcomes

Major Responsibilities:
- Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care
- Recognize significant patient condition changes and respond appropriately

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA
Education Required:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Holistic approach to patient care with strong communication skills
- Ability to make critical decisions in unplanned situations
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Strong organization and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry and maneuver patients and equipment
- Must endure exposure to chemical and hazardous waste
