Salary Range: $74,484.00 - $122,907.00

Join our STAT team, a group of dedicated professionals providing specialized care 24/7 to patients, employees, and visitors in need of acute medical attention. As a STAT nurse, you will play a vital role in education and emergency response at Albany Medical Center.

Hourly Range: $35.81 - $59.09

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to emergencies including Code Blue, Code Stroke, and Rapid Response pages.
• Conducting focused physical exams and evaluating patients according to established protocols.
• Stabilizing decompensating patients and managing ICU patients when necessary.
• Facilitating patient transfers to higher levels of care.
• Assisting with hospital policies and providing guidance to staff and visitors post-emergency.
• Administering IV push medications on specified floors.

You will utilize your expertise by:

• Applying Clinical Emergency and Rapid Response Adult Protocols and ACLS in critical situations.
• Addressing various medical emergencies such as oxygen desaturation, acute bleeding, and more.

Education and Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of a professional nursing program with a current RN Registration in New York.
• A minimum of three years of recent Intensive Care experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certified.

Communication and Reasoning Skills:

• Effectively interact with patients, families, and staff, ensuring clarity and consensus.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Analyze data and draw valid conclusions from various information sources.
