Operations Manager - Global Freight

About the Role

DP World is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Freight Forwarding team in Myaree, WA. In this role, you will lead operations and customer service teams across imports, exports, transport, and warehousing, ensuring the seamless execution of DP World's end-to-end logistics strategy while consistently meeting customer expectations. You will also oversee key internal and external stakeholder relationships and work closely with sales and key account teams to drive operational excellence and support the company's strategic growth objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage Perth import and export operations teams, ensuring effective service delivery and alignment with local business requirements.

• Oversee end-to-end operational processes and the DP World freight forwarding system to ensure data accuracy and milestone compliance.

• Drive KPI performance, including timely shipment registration, customs clearance, deliveries, and job completion.

• Manage financial performance by overseeing job profitability, eliminating non-recoverable costs, and ensuring month-end finalisation.

• Support strategic growth by strengthening customer relationships, resolving service issues, and identifying opportunities to enhance supply chain solutions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years freight forwarding experience, including 5+ years leadership experience.

• Extensive knowledge of Western Australia operations and international trade.

• Strong capability in managing relationships and stakeholder engagement.

• Proven skills in team leadership, development, and effective communication.

• Proficient in reporting, process optimisation, and operational workflow management.

• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure with advanced problem-solving skills.
