The Outpatient Clinical Director is a critical leadership position in our Delaware operation who:

has oversight of multiple programs in various counties in Delaware,
ensures FHR program services reflect the guiding principles of FHR's clinical philosophy (PRISM model) and are in accordance with agency policies, procedures, federal laws, regulations and CARF accrediting standards, and
assures efficient and fiscally sound outpatient operations.

In addition, the Director will be responsible for:

Clinical Administration

Provides utilization review in a timely manner, including but not limited to completing forms which are required by FHR/CARF to assure clinical and quality standards are being met.
Implements and promotes the principles of PRISM with staff and individuals.
Provides direct care services to a small caseload.
Monitors, reviews and when required completes comprehensive clinical assessments individuals served to assure quality standards are met.
Completes clinical and administrative documentation in accordance with

established timeframes and Fellowship policies and procedures.

Planning

Recommends improvement initiatives, based on the clinical performance of the region that should be included in the annual strategic planning process.

Leadership

Manages clinical supervisors. Oversees the daily operations of an outpatient clinic site and works to ensure that that a high quality of services is upheld.
Oversees provider and staff scheduling, staff management, individual's flow, individual's satisfaction, budget management, personnel management and development, and ensuring compliance with policies and protocols.
Ensures that the intake of prospective individuals is completed in a timely, professional manner; arranges and performs intake procedures, and initial assessment of individual's appropriateness for services.
Monitors productivity and target goals.
Ensures collection of program fees and service delivery data.
Participates in committees, meetings, and other activities as requested (both internal and external).
Provides after hours on-call, as scheduled.

Assists in orienting new staff on Clinical Approaches and Agency Philosophy of treatment.
Audits documentation in CARe system for accuracy. Assure licensing and state/county requirements are met.
Ensures that important internal processes and activities (those that affect clinical outcomes most significantly) throughout the program are systematically measured, assessed, and improved on an ongoing basis. Serves as a member of the following committees, QIC and RLT
Maintains positive relationships with funding sources and other provider agencies, as well as the local community.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

Masters degree and one of the following Professional licenses required:

Physician or Psychiatrist, Licensed Psychologist (Doctorate Level), Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Certified Clinical Supervisor

Two (2) or more years of experience in community support programs, preferably serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Previous clinical and administrative management experience is highly desirable.
Three(s) years managing people and outcomes in a behavioral health outpatient department desired.
