Part-Time CDL Delivery Driver

Essential Functions:

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Proactively assist customers by understanding their needs and guiding them in selecting and loading merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and offer expertise on product features, benefits, and warranty information.
• Maintain communication with customers about delivery status and coordinate with truck drivers when necessary.

In-stock

• Efficiently plan delivery operations and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
• Prepare delivery loads, ensuring products are securely packed and loaded for transportation.
• Inspect product conditions before loading to ensure quality delivery.
• Verify accuracy of delivery orders by matching items on invoices with loaded merchandise.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensure all loads comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Update delivery and route status using mobile tracking systems to enhance efficiency.
• Manage safe unloading and installation of products, particularly appliances, at delivery locations.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles.
• Monitor for security risks and report any suspicious activities to management.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in work areas.
• Adhere to safety protocols and operate equipment as necessary depending on assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Class A or B CDL License, with air brake endorsement preferred.
• Possession of a valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Pass MVR screening as per company standards.
• Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations.
• Basic literacy and arithmetic skills are required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferences:

• Experience driving semi-trucks or certification from a driving institution.
• Background in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading and unloading.
