Baptist Medical Center Metro Square is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Rep II to join our Community Provider TAP Department at our Baptist Metro Square location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates have the possibility to work remote after four to six months AND they are meeting quality and productive consistently.

This Patient Access Rep II will primarily be a scheduler for sleep appointments. In this role you will be calling around 30-40 patients a day and the day in the life will look like calling the patients to get them scheduled, completing the registration process, insurance verification, and making sure you have the authorization. You will have a monthly score card to determine how long it takes to wrap up a call and the quality of a call. The ideal candidate will not only reflect the five Baptist Core Values, but will also have call center, authorization, and scheduling experience.

As a Patient Access Rep II, you will be responsible for:

Registering patients accurately and efficiently
Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
