The Patient Advocate plays a critical role in the daily operations of the Clinical Administrative team at a busy Primary Care practice with two locations in Southeastern New Hampshire. The Patient Advocate is responsible for greeting patients and other visitors to Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth, NH. The Patient Advocate provides a positive patient experience by participating in patient check-in and check-out, and phone monitoring. The Patient Advocate ensures that patient records are updated and assists with related filing, and works closely with clinical staff and billing staff to ensure a positive patient experience.

The Patient Advocate will be scheduled to work forty hours per week at Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth, New Hampshire. The Patient Advocate is not required to float between sites.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service experience and commitment to being an effective professional team player. Time management skills, basic computer proficiency, and demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with an eye toward details. Maintains confidentiality under all circumstances.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Other: Experience with electronic health records a plus.
