Duties and Responsibilities of The Payroll Specialist:

Prepare multiple payroll cycles during a month with accuracy and efficiency
Provide exceptional customer service and teamwork with fellow associates

Maintain Payroll and related records and registers
Timely payment and reporting of payroll taxes and other benefits/deductions
Variance reports to management
Reporting to state agencies as required
Maintain schedules for deductions and other transactions

Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:

2+ years of payroll experience
Experience processing payroll for an organization of 500+ employees
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Experience processing payroll in large HRIS system (Kronos, ADP etc.)
Experience with payroll reporting to state and government entities including quarterly reporting, local taxing & reporting laws and year-end reporting
Experience managing schedules for deductions and various transactions affecting payroll
Knowledge of GAP accounting principles as they apply to payroll processing
Strong communication and customer service skills
High School Diploma Required
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check
