Per Diem Clinical Nurse - Short Stay

Join our dedicated clinical team as a Per Diem Clinical Nurse in the South Clinical Short Stay unit. Your role is vital in fostering a compassionate and caring environment for our patients, their families, and your colleagues through kindness and active listening.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications
• Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
• Document patient treatments as per company policy and regulations
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create an effective Plan of Care for all patients
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
• Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills
• Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, with the ability to apply them for departmental and patient care quality improvement
