A renowned legal team is seeking their next Personal Injury Associate Attorney in McKinney, TX. This position will be responsible for handling a variety of complex legal projects within the pre-litigation and litigation departments. The Attorney will be responsible for cases from conception to completion while also mentoring the junior legal team. The ideal candidate has high attention to detail and has advanced litigation experience.

Conduct and participate in weekly department case meetings to provide case updates, planning and forecasting.
Handles litigation case files as assigned, from start to finish with the ability to prioritize case files based on a statute of limitations, length of the case, the value of a case, or other possible potential needs while adhering to company policy and procedures.
Strategize and analyze with the Senior Associate or in their absence, the Managing Attorney or COO on negotiations concerning contracts, settlement offers and demands, and other transaction matters before negotiations.
Analyse the probable outcomes of each case.
Provide legal counsel and advice on a broad range of legal topics including personal injury, general tort, and civil practice litigation
Attend hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial.
Negotiate and settle cases within pre-set parameters of the firm with the permission of the client.
Work closely with the pre-litigation department.
Staying abreast of legal developments affecting the company, clients, and industries and synthesizing the information to incorporate it into the company's injury trial practice.
Must be licensed to practice in Texas (license must be active and in good standing)
MBA preferred, or undergraduate business degree with a strong business background.
At least 2 years of personal injury experience required.
Litigation experience is a plus.
Must have a strong commitment to client service.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be tech-savvy.
Must be compliant with all Texas State Bar Rules and Regulations and CLE requirements in addition to maintaining competency through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest developments.
