Physical Therapy Assistant

Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center, a Skilled Nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. Two years previous experienced preferred in SNF.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, one of your duties will be to record the patient's responses to treatments and report the outcome of each treatment to the physical therapist. You will keep the treatment area clean and organized and instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist parents as they practice exercises and functional activities. Additional responsibilities include:

Responsibilities and Duties

Preparing for each patient's therapy
Assisting in the transportation of patients when moving to or from a treatment area
Ordering depleted supplies
Answering the phone
Reading patient evaluations
Being very familiar with the Plan of Care the physical therapist set in place for any given patient and, if need be, relaying any concerns about the Plan of Care
Administering balance and muscle strength tests

Must have:

Graduate of an accredited PTA school and being PTA Certified in the state of Florida
Professional and ethical team player
CPR certified
Possess basic knowledge in all the modalities
Understand how a goniometer and dynamometer operate
Ability to assist in the lifting, pulling and/or pushing or patients
Current COVID test results
