Physician Assistant - Jacksonville, NC

StellarMed, a division of StarMed Healthcare, is currently hiring experienced Physician Assistants for our Urgent Care/Occupational Medicine clinic in Jacksonville, NC. StarMed Healthcare is one of the fastest growing, independently owned medical practices based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Essential Functions
Provide urgent care/occupational services in an Urgent Care setting. DOT certification required but will offer training and stipend for the course.
Comfortable having 25-30 patients per day on schedule
Perform physical exams and patient observations
Record patient medical histories and symptoms
Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans
Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests
Monitor and operate medical equipment
Prescribe medications as needed
Must be fully licensed in the state of North Carolina and hold appropriate board certifications

Qualifications

At least 3 year experience in Family Practice or Urgent Care setting is required but will look at new grads with the necessary skill set for the position.
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university PA Program required
Licensed as a Physician Assistant in North Carolina
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed within state of practice

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work under pressure
Strong bed side manner
Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred

Compensation

Highly Competitive Salary - ranging from $110k-130k based on experience
Sign on Bonus: up to $5,000
