Pricing summary: The Pricing Analsyt will manage the day-to-day pricing activities acting as a centralized resource for delivering quick and accurate pricing proposals to Sales, Operations, and Customers. This position will be responsible for collaborating internally across multiple division stakeholders ensuring we have an optimal pricing strategy and margin guidance is in place to win business. The Pricing Manager will manage the spot quote requests along with leading the strategy and execution for our larger customer bids we receive.
Description of Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage, complete, and respond to customer RFPs (spot & contractual) in accordance with assigned due dates or
service level agreements for new and existing customers across multiple regions & business divisions.
Track and analyze results of pricing proposals working with management on adjusting pricing strategies related to
market dynamic changes, pricing trends, and market opportunities.
Collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify best practices for continuous improvement of our existing
customer's network and pricing quality, leading to more favorable win ratios.
Maintain and track all pricing activity within a centralized database logging all opportunities, proposals generated,
win/loss results, in addition to capturing customer feedback when available.
Lead the end-to-end coordination and execution for customer's RFP lifecycle both internally and externally.
Manage large numbers of pricing requests for pre-qualified customers in a fast-paced spot quote environment.
Monitor and track actual vs. expected profitability and performance across awarded business.
Leverage internal and external data sources for projecting profitability while maintaining cost and margin guidance.
Support the development and implementation of price pilot and tests to validate product strategies.
Qualifications
Education / Training
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or related field required
Work Experience
5+ years of professional logistics experience required, specific to pricing and analytics management. Port Drayage or Full Truckload preferred.
Job Skills
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills, as well as above average attention to detail and
accuracy.
Excellent Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Thorough understanding of transportation contracts and rate agreements
Ability to evaluate existing processes, identify improvements and implement improved methods.
Exceptional collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated individual with ability to work and think independently, while still being part of a team
Environmental Requirements:
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Frequently attending networking events and visiting Client locations
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Travel 20 %
Other: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
