Psychiatry - Addiction Medicine Specialist

We are excited to invite passionate and dedicated board certified or board eligible psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to become a vital part of our team. This unique opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in providing care for individuals who have experienced catastrophic work-related injuries, while also addressing co-occurring mental health challenges that impact their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse range of catastrophic injuries including musculoskeletal injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, burn injuries, amputations, and polytrauma.
• Address co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, acute stress disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance use disorders.
• Evaluate patients across various acuity levels: acute, subacute, and non-acute.
• Develop, review, and oversee implementation of individualized care coordination plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Present comprehensive care plans to clients and collaborate with clinical staff.
• Engage in communication with healthcare providers regarding patient progress, participating in peer discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
• Work closely with a care coordinator nurse to enhance care planning and coordination for injured workers.
