Position Summary:

Responsible for Loan Programs, Loan Set-Up, Loan Closing and post-closing processes, and assures high levels of service and performance. Supports MCU lending policies and ensures procedures are in place and followed by all branch operations. Works with management to develop or refine procedures to ensure loans are compliant with internal policies, all regulatory guidelines. Provides guidance and training to loan service staff involved in lending as needed.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Effective use of lending software including ELA, Episys, CX360 and our imaging system Synergy
  • Maintains GL Balancing for real estate loan related and insurance products
  • Develops or refine procedures to ensure efficient processes are in place.
  • Works closely with the Loan Servicing Supervisor in developing and implementing organization, strategy and policies.
  • Ensures loans are underwritten properly in accordance with MCU policies and procedures.
  • Provides support to branch loan officers and managers to assist with the development of loans.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory compliance with current and pending applicable rules, laws and regulations.
  • Additional Duties as assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Auditing real estate loan files, verifying completion of all UW conditions
  2. Tracking and ensuring completion of all post-closing exceptions
  3. Completing full process of building and funding real estate loans in Episys
  4. Managing CPI add-ons and refunds
  5. Month-end reconciliations/journal entries
  6. Lien perfection (mortgages) verification
  7. Paid loan processing
  8. Real Estate loan modifications/TDR's - document preparation and system maintenance
  9. Completing all types of servicing requests submitted through CX360; monitoring shared email inbox
  10. Scanning and filing responsibilities
  11. Managing escrow accounts including disbursements, reporting, analysis and maintenance
  12. Completing Final Title Policy reviews
  13. HMDA Reporting
  14. Weekly/monthly report management for all assigned tasks

  • Maintain required reporting and balance, including assisting with quality control reviews.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Above average knowledge of real estate lending.
  • Knowledge of perfecting real estate collateral.
  • Knowledge of closing/funding real estate loans.
  • Knowledge of final real estate loan documentation.
  • Ability to identify processes that can be improved and develop strategies to improve them
  • Ability to develop clear procedures to ensure uniformity and consistency in processes
  • Ability to make sound, on-demand decisions and know when to involve higher level management.


Experience:1+ Years in lending industry with emphasis on servicing/processing

Education:Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.

Interpersonal Skills:The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.

Other Skills: Above average computer skills.

Physical Requirements: (with or without accommodation): Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, be able to lift 15 pounds frequently, and do repetitive tasks. Ability to verbally communicate in person and telephonically is required.
