Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexibility to travel to Valatie on Tuesdays.
Join our dedicated team at the Division of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology and provide top-notch care to patients in need. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate RN with excellent clinical skills to excel in our procedure-based clinic!
As a Registered Nurse, you will work under the guidance of the practice physician, advanced practice providers, and Nurse Manager/Supervisor. Your role includes:
- Performing patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Documenting patient histories and vital signs accurately in the EHR.
- Conducting asthma control tests and peak flow measurements.
- Providing support and nursing assistance to all providers and fellows.
- Managing the administration of specialty medications, including monoclonal agents.
- Performing allergy and venom desensitization injections.
- Facilitating allergy serum compounding and management of emergency interventions for anaphylaxis.
- Conducting skin testing and oral drug desensitization procedures.
- Teaching patients about nebulizer treatments, self-injection techniques, and overall wellness.
- Coordinating durable medical equipment for at-home patient care.
- Participating in the setup of clinical procedures, such as skin biopsies and rhinoscopies.
- Maintaining inventory of clinical supplies and ensuring exam rooms are adequately stocked.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current NYS RN licensure.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
