    We are recruiting an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join a nurse-led primary health team within a youth custodial setting in Malmsbury. This leadership role combines clinical care, staff supervision, and operational coordination to ensure safe, high-quality healthcare delivery to young people in custody.

    You will work within a multidisciplinary team providing holistic care including assessments, triage, care planning, and health education.

    Key Duties
  • Lead and support nursing staff in daily clinical operations
  • Coordinate assessments, triage, and care planning
  • Supervise, coach and develop nursing staff
  • Support quality improvement and clinical governance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary and custodial teamsSkills & Experience - Essential
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership or ANUM experience
  • Experience in primary, community, or mental health settings
  • Strong risk assessment and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilityDesired Skills & Experience
  • Experience in justice, custodial, or forensic health (highly regarded)
  • Experience working with vulnerable or marginalised youth
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skillsOther Requirements
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Ability to obtain Justice security clearance
