Occ Summary

Independently plan and provide professional nuonse to care.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other lic ensed andunlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a gr oupplan of care based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and r espedpolicies andprocedures. E ducation

Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program. Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11,202 1 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouragedto en roll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their startdate b ut must complete the program within seven years of theirstartdate. Regi stered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required toenroll in a B SN program to remain in this job classification.


Experience

Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required. At amanager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who areexc eptional performers may be eligible for this level.CN Is are eligible fo r promotion to CN II by meeting criteria set forthby the DUHS Vizient Nu rse Residency Program within 12 months of hire.Promotions can occur at 1 2 months of hire, but no later than 18 monthsof hire.

Degrees, Li censures, Certifications

Must have current or compact RN licensur e in the state of NorthCarolina. BLS required.
