Department/Unit: HBD - OBGYN Generalist

Salary Range: $78,773.63 - $122,099.12
The Nurse Educator plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of patient care within the OBGYN department. This role involves providing direct patient care, conducting patient triage (both in-person and telephonic), and assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care plans and clinic visits. You will collaborate with the OB/GYN Departmental Care Team to create, implement, and monitor staff training and development initiatives.
In addition, you will independently execute educational activities tailored for orientation, in-service training, regulatory compliance, and ongoing education. Acting as a clinical lead, you will support onsite nursing staff in the absence of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or currently enrolled in a BSN program)
Licensure, Certification & Registration:
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Maintains current BLS certification and seeks BLS Instructor Certification within one year of hire.
Experience:
- Demonstrated clinical competency in OBGYN nursing.
- Preferred background in educational program development and teaching.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and communicate effectively.
- Occasionally required to sit and assume various postures. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Possible exposure to infectious materials and chemicals — awareness of safety protocols is essential.
- Jobs in this role will primarily be performed on-site, as remote work is not applicable.
