Schedule Details/Additional Information:
- Self-Scheduled
- Shift: 3rd Shift (7pm-730am)
- FTE: 0.9 (12-hour shifts)
- 2 Mondays & 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
- 1 Weekend per 6-week schedule
- 2 Holidays (1 Summer & 1 Winter)
- RNs are trained in ACLS, NIH, IV Ultrasound, and cross-trained to be Charge RN

As part of our Float Pool, you'll have the chance to rotate through various units such as ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.
What You'll Do:
- Float between Med/Surg, Telemetry, ED Boarding, and ICU support units
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
- Quickly adapt to different unit workflows while maintaining clinical excellence
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 18 months of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
- Flexibility: Availability to meet the following schedule requirements per 6-week period: 2 Fridays, 2 Mondays, and 1 Weekend
Training & Skills:
- Training in:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (Stroke Scale)
- IV Ultrasound
- Charge Nurse cross-training to enhance leadership skills

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care by using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will create a safe patient environment and enhance the best patient experience throughout the continuum of care.
You will assess patient needs, implement individualized care plans, and continuously evaluate care effectiveness. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care while adapting to changes in patient conditions promptly.
Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Education: Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program is required.
Required Functional Experience: Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: You should demonstrate the ability to provide holistic patient care, adapt to critical interventions timely, possess excellent communication skills, exhibit strong organization and problem-solving abilities, and effectively collaborate with healthcare teams. You will also maintain awareness of patient safety and strive for continuous process improvement.
Team Commitment: Team members must comply with annual educational requirements for hospital certifications.
