Schedule Information:
Nights with 8 and 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation, and holiday rotation.

Unit Overview:
Become a part of our dynamic 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will care for:
- Post-operative craniotomy patients
- Spine surgery patients
- Stroke patients within our Comprehensive Stroke Program
- High volumes of cervical and spinal surgery patients
As a member of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), you will gain exposure to leading neurosurgical practices and innovative care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering comprehensive, evidence-based patient care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for safe and effective care
- Utilizing clinical judgment and skilled communication to promote optimal outcomes
- Enhancing the patient experience through compassionate care

Major Responsibilities:
- Assessing patient needs and collaborating on treatment plans
- Recognizing changes in patient conditions and adjusting interventions as needed
- Ensuring patient safety and reducing risks
- Coordinating discharge plans with interdisciplinary input
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
Licensing and Certification Required:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Education and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Nursing program
- Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make independent decisions effectively
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Exposure to chemicals, hazardous waste, and infectious materials
