OVERVIEW:

The Retail Sales Team Leader plays a vital role in upholding brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. Working closely with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, this individual becomes the go-to expert for their department. Their commitment to exceptional customer service and effective teammate guidance sets them apart.

  • Contributes to building a strong team by participating in in-store interviews and department orientations.
  • Cultivates a people-first culture by engaging with every team member to foster mutual trust and respect.
  • Plans and organizes tasks 30 days in advance, collaborating with the Assistant Store Manager to align on staffing needs.
  • Strategically mobilizes teammates to ensure brand standards are met and important tasks are prioritized.
  • Maintains company merchandising and presentation standards through adherence to established guidelines.
  • Assists store leadership in general supervision of store operations while adhering to company policies.
  • Supports the training of teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new hires and cross-training existing ones.
  • Focuses on coaching and developing both personal skills and those of others, providing hands-on guidance with clear explanations.
  • Models the organization's vision by helping team members see how their roles contribute to overall goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where both teammates and customers feel respected and safe.
  • Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and operational procedures, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

  • Completes other tasks as assigned by store management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred prior experience in retail sales or customer service.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Comfortable working at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifting devices.
  • Capable of performing repetitive motions for up to 2 hours continuously.
