Objective of Role:
Take charge of driving growth in your territory by delivering exceptional technical support, which includes providing solutions in person, via telephone, and addressing product performance issues.
Expectations:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a technical background who can quickly learn and provide training in mechanical, electronic, and software systems. You should excel at troubleshooting, developing proactive service solutions, and managing projects while building lasting relationships to enhance sales.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective technical training/teaching both in-person and virtually to empower the distribution sales and service organization.
- Act as a key resource by providing advanced technical troubleshooting assistance to AWTX Distributors, serving as the primary escalation point for complex product support.
- Address and resolve equipment and service performance complaints efficiently.
- Innovatively design proactive solutions that foster sales growth within your territory.
- Assist in the rollout of product upgrades and retrofit programs.
- Ensure necessary levels of support during product introductions, upgrades, and retrofits.
- Collaborate with the AWTX training team to provide constructive feedback for documentation and training materials.
- Enhance relationships with AWTX Platinum Distributors and their service teams.
- Manage territory sales and prepare financial reports; analyze financial metrics to draft effective territory sales plans.
- Submit regular sales outlook reports for your region.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences during training sessions.
- Oversee travel and entertainment budgets to successfully grow your sales territory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years in Technical Support, Engineering, or Quality Assurance.
- Strong aptitude in Mechanical, Electrical, and Software troubleshooting.
- A proactive individual who demonstrates initiative and exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Pivot, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to adapt to evolving circumstances, stay composed under pressure, and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to present effectively to various audiences.
- Experience in developing business plans and sales strategies.
- Ability to conduct technical training seminars on electronic products.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with field service teams, business units, and sales teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Engineering, Electronic Systems, or Computer Science.
- Advanced knowledge in Electrical/Mechanical/Software domains.
- Experience in Customer Service, Help Desk, or Supervisory roles.
- Expertise in diagnostic logic development.
- Familiarity with ITW business and products.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time while maintaining regular communication and responding to requirements.
- Work conditions may vary across distributor sites depending on the industry and product.
- Physical demands may include bending, kneeling, or climbing at customer locations.
- Potential exposure to various environmental conditions such as noise, heat, cold, or wet surfaces.
- May need to stand, sit, walk, and lift weights of 35-65 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders as needed.

Compensation Information:
Pay Range: $85,500 - $120,000 per year.
