Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with month end close process, financial reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis. This role will also support budgeting and forecasting as needed, assist with tax return preparation, be a backup for payroll processing and assist with the annual financial statement and 401(k) audits. The Senior Accountant needs to have advanced excel skills, the ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form and possess a strong attention to detail. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the Controller on key projects such a as implementation of a new ERP system and design and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures. Essential Duties

Responsible for accurately maintaining the general ledger activity; which includes recording the day-to-day accounting transactions and completing month end close

Preparing and reviewing Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Responsible for maintaining deferred revenue schedules under ASC 606 - Revenue Recognition Standard

Responsible for maintaining lease schedules under ASC 842 - Lease Accounting Standard

Responsible for monthly invoicing of Franchise fees

Responsible for preparing monthly therapy revenue and adjustment entries

Responsible for month end AP accruals

Responsible for recording debt entries

Backup for payroll processing

Assist with state tax and unemployment registrations and filings

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of related experience in accounting or similar field; Public accounting experience a plus

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

ERP Implementation experience, a plus

Ability to work independently to accomplish set objectives and deliverables

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong team player with a great ability to problem-solve

Ability to learn quickly, build and maintain long term relationships, and work with minimal supervision

Strong attention to details

Fantastic organizational and time management skills
