We're hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Souderton Accounting Team. Once trained, this position will become hybrid.
Subsidiary Accounting: Calculate and prepare journal entries to record fee income, commission expense and other related expenses. Collaborate with the subsidiary support staff to ensure accurate and timely data to process entries and research variances. Maintain income and expense trends to ensure accuracy of the financial statements. Provide support to the Finance Group related to budget planning, forecasting and variance research.
General Ledger: Prepare and maintain the Prepaid and Recurring Transaction system in Jack Henry. Calculate miscellaneous accrual entries such as deposit interest accruals, student loan interest, and occupancy expense. Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations in Blackline.
Fixed Assets: Review invoices paid by accounts payable to determine appropriate depreciation method for both internal and tax books. Setup assets in Fixed Asset software and post monthly depreciation. Prepare addition and disposal reports. Prepare fixed asset roll-forwards for external tax advisory group. Monitor in-progress accounts for project completion.
Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and maintain current, accurate and detailed supporting schedules and related workpapers in support of the quarterly and annual Federal Reserve filing requirements, including the FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR Y-6 and FFIEC 041 Call Report filing, ensuring compliance consistent with the Company's control environment. Prepare the regulatory capital ratios in accordance with regulatory requirements. Analyze and explain differences period over period for reporting to senior management.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related work experience;
Prior work experience of 3-5 years, which may include internships in accounting or finance, preferred;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with members of the team and senior management;
Strong analytical and interpretation skills;
Basic competency in Microsoft Excel, Skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc. a plus;
Strong attention to detail and well organized;
Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Experience with Jack Henry or similar accounting system a plus;
Ability to understand workflow, learn and utilize new systems, and improve existing processes.
