GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Senior Cashier Leader is pivotal in ensuring seamless guest transactions while upholding outstanding cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetic appeal. With an extensive background in cashiering, you will assist in training new team members and cross-training associates, showcasing a proactive leadership style that inspires your peers. This role is instrumental in driving loyalty results and achieving financial goals through a strong focus on sales, exceptional guest experiences, and adherence to operating procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performance:
• Help achieve and exceed store goals related to sales, guest loyalty, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure every guest enjoys superior service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their individual needs.
• Manage sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges professionally.
• Assist in booking appointments and executing services that enhance the guest experience while meeting sales targets.
• Take ownership of cashwrap displays and supplies to ensure readiness for guests.
2. People:
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports team collaboration and enhances guest service.
• Support leadership with cashier-related tasks and support team training initiatives.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge to better assist guests.
• Promote the benefits of the guest loyalty program and instill excitement amongst peers about achieving loyalty objectives.
• Take initiative in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates.
3. Process:
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain operational standards.
• Oversee register functions and ensure cash and media control according to company protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout all areas of the store.
• Adhere to safety and loss prevention measures to protect company assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Strong ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Proven track record of excellent guest service and sales performance.
• Experience in addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues effectively.

SKILLS

• Proficient with technology, including Point of Sale systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in both independent and team settings.
• Capable of maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to assume the role of Senior Cashier Leader.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Continuous mobility required throughout the store.
• Frequent lifting of objects up to 25 lbs.
• Ongoing coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts.
