Senior Critical Care Nurse - Float Pool, Nights

Join our dynamic Critical Care Float Pool team and enhance your critical care skills in various specialized areas! As a Senior Critical Care Nurse, you will gain valuable experience working in the Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and the MSICU, the intermediate care ICU. With the opportunity to also develop competencies in the Emergency Department and neuro-progressive care, this role is perfect for those looking to broaden their expertise.

In this role, you will:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, and start IVs.
• Perform various treatments and document care in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care.
• Provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to establish comprehensive Plans of Care.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining high nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledgeable in quality concepts and problem-solving techniques.
