Position Summary:
This full-time position, based in Latham, NY, and Poughkeepsie, NY, focuses primarily on conducting environmental site assessments, geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, and various other environmental projects. Flexibility for remote work is available, allowing up to 50% of your time to be spent working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and assess technical data while assisting in the preparation of remedial investigation plans and reports.
  • Maintain clear communication with the project manager, clients, regulatory agents, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and oversee drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
  • Execute projects that involve aquifer testing, drilling oversight, soil/rock logging, well construction observation, and environmental media sampling.
  • Document field activities and provide conceptual data interpretations to the project management team.

Salary: $68,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, paid weekly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant environmental experience, including fieldwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NYS Fundamentals of Geology (FG) license and steps towards obtaining a NYS Registered Professional Geologist (PG) license.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual OSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training.
  • Familiarity with Surfer®, Win-Situ software, AQTESOLV software, ArcGIS, Collector, and EQuIS data management systems.
