Salary: Circa £55,000 dependent on experience

Your Role:

  • Engage in advanced mathematical modelling and simulation development, crafting algorithmic and design solutions that meet the complex performance requirements of radar systems.
  • Leverage mathematical modelling and simulation to uncover performance enhancements and innovative solutions, improving existing radar product capabilities and paving the way for future technologies.
  • Create novel approaches to tackle evolving technical challenges faced by our customer community.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering teams to realize, implement, verify, and validate algorithmic and design solutions for deployable radar systems.
  • Perform comprehensive system performance analysis and design trade-offs, defining key system design constraints and limitations under various operational scenarios.
  • Analyze system performance from integration and post-trials data to provide insights for radar systems design solutions and generate evidence for customer acceptance.
  • Utilize your knowledge of Systems Engineering (e.g., ISO 15288) to develop solutions that address engineering challenges and drive advancements for a range of products and situations, with an eye towards Future Air Dominance.

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • A robust mathematical and engineering mindset with a creative problem-solving approach applicable to complex technical and system-level requirements.
  • Familiarity with mathematical simulation tools/languages (e.g., Mathworks MATLAB, Simulink, Pearl, Python, MathCAD).
  • An understanding of real-world factors impacting radar system performance and their effect on modelled simulations.
  • Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.
