We are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to lead transformative projects in our Lone Star community. As a crucial member of our team, you will help us tackle the complexities of water and wastewater management while anticipating future trends to ensure the sustainability and resilience of our communities.
Your Impact
- Lead groundbreaking water/wastewater facility projects, including reports, specifications, designs, and permits.
- Develop precise design computations and estimates.
- Engage directly with clients to shape project visions and navigate development scopes.
- Manage project schedules and fees with strategic insight.
- Conduct client meetings to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment with project needs.
- Champion quality assurance and control tasks, upholding the highest standards.
- Mentor and inspire junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
- Supervise a talented team of engineers, encouraging collaborative success.
- Serve both public and private sector clients on a diverse range of significant projects.
- Travel as necessary to influence projects widely.
- Participate in occasional evening meetings, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
What's Required for Success
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant technical experience, including a minimum of two years at the project manager level with direct client contact.
- Texas professional engineering license.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Extensive experience in the design of water/wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, transmission systems, collection/distribution networks, pump stations, and storage facilities.
- A solid understanding of regulatory issues related to water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance and environmental considerations are met.
- Hands-on experience with construction administration tasks for water/wastewater projects, overseeing execution and adherence to design specifications.
- A proven track record of mentoring and developing less experienced engineers.
- NCEES record and the capability to obtain licensure in other states as needed.
