Your role will focus on accelerating architectural efforts to achieve significant data processing improvements, building scalable patient health records, and creating a health data lake that can serve entire populations. You'll work closely with Oracle Cloud engineering teams to adopt the latest OCI Big Data, data lake, and data warehouse technologies.

This position requires a proactive engineer who will build modern, secure, and compliant data solutions that support innovative AI-driven applications. By integrating diverse healthcare data sources, ensuring data quality, availability, and compliance, you will empower teams to harness predictive analytics and clinical decision support tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement robust distributed and scalable software systems.
  • Develop cloud services leveraging modern OCI infrastructure.
  • Engage in peer/code reviews to maintain high software quality standards.
  • Participate in every phase of the software lifecycle, from design and development to quality assurance, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Optimize data processing pipelines for enhanced throughput and reduced latency.
  • Utilize a variety of internal OCI tools for software development, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong object-oriented design and programming skills in JVM languages.
  • Ability to translate vague functional and product requirements into structured designs.
  • Experience collaborating with technical leadership on actionable technical requirements.
  • Proven expertise in the development and deployment of features across multiple system components.
  • Experience with distributed systems, SaaS/IaaS, and data pipeline technologies.
  • Proficient in Big Data processing, analytics, and parallel computing technologies like Hadoop or stream processing.
  • Familiarity with Public Cloud services and Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development.
  • 5+ years of experience in object-oriented programming.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in defining and enhancing the technical culture of an engineering team.
  • Familiarity with building services and API endpoints.

This position may require compliance with specific health and safety mandates. The US hiring range is from $79,200 to $178,100 annually, with additional bonus and equity opportunities.
