Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Services Pricing Strategy Manager who will play a pivotal role in navigating the expanding opportunities and challenges within the Services and AI product landscape. This crucial position will have a significant impact beyond just pricing, shaping how Teradata adapts to the evolving demands of AI Services and Forward Deployed Engineering.

  • Own the pricing and packaging strategy for Teradata's global services portfolio, including Support, Consulting, Managed Services, and AI Services/Forward Deployed Engineering.

  • Bring your extensive services pricing expertise and strategic mindset to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Design

  • Lead the pricing strategy for all Services offerings, ensuring alignment with Teradata's overall Pricing Transformation initiatives.

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis, including cost modeling, customer value analysis, competitive benchmarking, and total-cost-of-ownership assessments.

  • Develop pricing frameworks that align with cloud consumption models and drive annual recurring revenue expansion.

  • Transition from cost-plus to value-based pricing, continuously improving processes to enhance sales efficiency within the Services organization.

Operational Execution

  • Manage end-to-end pricing execution, including ensuring system readiness and documentation for smooth rollout to the sales team.

  • Collaborate with Product Operations and CPQ teams to ensure accurate order configuration and governance.

  • Establish efficient pricing processes for annual reviews, product launches, and price adjustments.

Analytics & Insights

  • Lead efforts to uncover margin opportunities, identify pricing leakages, and optimize pricing strategies.

  • Create dashboards and KPIs to track pricing performance and support strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary pricing partner for Services leadership, Product Management, and Finance.

  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders and influence decisions at the executive level.

  • Effectively communicate pricing strategies and insights to senior leadership.

Collaboration Opportunity

You will work closely with teams in Product, Services, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to design and optimize pricing strategies that maximize revenue, margins, and customer value in both cloud and hybrid deployments.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies for subscription or consumption-based models.

  • 3+ years within the technology or cloud services sector, with preference for data warehousing or analytics experience.

  • Robust background in B2B or B2B2E services pricing, particularly in cloud or enterprise software contexts.

  • In-depth knowledge of the spectrum of services, including Support, Consulting, Managed Services, and AI services.

  • Ability to shift between strategic insights and hands-on execution.

  • Strong understanding of data and computing technologies.

  • Proven capability to develop and communicate innovative pricing strategies.

  • Excellent research skills, both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Collaborative mindset with strong influence skills across multiple departments.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or an advanced degree.

  • Experience with analytical tools and experimentation frameworks.

  • Prior experience in cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise SaaS.

Compensation: $111,800 - $139,800 - $167,700 annually. Starting pay is reflective of geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate's relevant skills and experience. All roles qualify for annual incentive plans based on company performance and individual contributions.
