Sleep Lab Tech - Full Time, Night Shift

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Tech I:

Reviews patient histories, medications, and procedures.

Applies electrodes and sensors.

Performs appropriate calibrations.

Gathers data acquisition while monitoring.

Documents observations (including sleep stages, clinical events, changes in procedures, etc).

Completes data.

Removes wires and sensors.

Faxes reports to physicians.

Displays proper etiquette and mannerisms that reflect the Shine Behavior Standards Guidelines.

Promotes the Patient Safety Standards as a core value of the organization.

Performance of PAP titration per protocol and/or policy and procedure.

Tech II:

All duties of level I tech.

Scores patient acquisitions using the latest AASM rules.

Able to prepare draft reports for interpretation by Medical Director.

Require Registration as a sleep tech, either RPSGT or RST.

At least 2years experience in related field.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Basic computer skills (required).

CPR/BLS Certification (required within 30 days of hire)

5 year related experience (preferred).

RPSGT or RCP with Sleep certification from the NBRC - Highly preferred

OSHA Exposure Category:

Involves exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue
